"Starry Night" is a stark, elegant, contemporary fluid art mixed media abstract painting. Black and white acrylic paints were applied to the canvas using a fluid art technique, called a "Dutch Pour". The process of creating this painting started with applying a rich texture across the diagonal of the canvas. Once that cured (hardened) a black and white base was laid on the diagonal. Next lines of black and white acrylic paint were added on top of the texture and blown out across the canvas. Several tools were used to create the tendrils and flow of the contrasting colors. As you can see, delicate cells and lacing formed, adding playfulness. Once cured, chunky black and fine white glitter were added, hence the starry night! This textured painting will look good in any setting. The sparkles will twinkle at night whenever light hits them.
